I’m not back from vacation at this time so I’m going to keep this short and sweet; I have to enjoy my last day in the sunshine!
Before I go, we must discuss these granola bars. They’re simple, delicious, and full of good-for-you ingredients and healthy excess fat to help keep you satisfied. And they’re incredibly easy to make!
First we toast the coconut, oats, and almonds within the oven.
Then just mix honey, almond butter, just a little coconut oil, vanilla and cinnamon in a saucepan to heat thoroughly. The wet substances are then added to the dry mix and then tossed to mix. Easy!
Now I favor to bake these, nevertheless, you don’t necessarily have to. I’ve offered directions for both in the formula! Depending on which you choose you might end up getting a chewy pub, or a somewhat crunchier bar. Either way, they’re delicious!
I love the fact these are naturally sweetened and filled with flavor from your coconut and almonds. But dark chocolate on top? Yes, you truly must!
It reminds me a little of a almond joy granola bar. I trim mine into mini bite size items to take pleasure from as a healthy treat between foods.
Alright I need to work! Enjoy these pubs. I’ll be back again with vacation photos soon!
xoxo
Ingredients
1 cup almonds, chopped up or coarsely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup honey (agave, dark brown rice syrup or maple syrup, if vegan)
1/2 cup almond butter
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 ounces quality chocolates, cut into little parts (vegan, if desired)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 levels F. Collection a 9-in . square skillet with parchment paper.
In a big dish combine oats, almonds, and coconut. Pass on on a big baking sheet and bake for ten minutes, stirring halfway through. Remove from oven and transfer to a big bowl.
Put honey, coconut oil, almond butter, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla to some medium sauce pan and warmth over medium-low temperature until warm and coconut oil is certainly melted. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well to combine and coat the oat/almond/coconut combination. Transfer mixture to prepared skillet and press solidly down to pack pubs firmly and ensure they stay jointly. The harder you press, the more they will stay together – so press them in very firmly.
You can even bake these if you want crunchy pubs: Bake for 10-15 moments or until firm then remove from range and keep at room temperature to cool. Don’t bake longer or they’ll become very difficult.
No bake technique: Place skillet in fridge for 20 a few minutes or until company. I really like the no bake method!
To make delicious chocolate: melt chocolate in double boiler or in a medium heatproof dish over simmering drinking water. You can even microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring among. Once melted and easy in consistency, spread evenly over bars. Allow chocolate to cool and harden at room temperature, then lower into 16 pubs. Store within an airtight container.
Feel free to mix and match add-ins as desired. You should use dried fruits or different nuts. Get crazy!
